Skills, experience & some highlights

• Deep understanding of both sides of the table working at GM & Director level within stage lighting and video for both manufacturers and rental production companies from circa £5M to £30M t/over, leading and collaborating with commercial and operational teams.

• My Leadership KPI's are: Keep People Interested/Keep People Informed/Keep People Involved/Keep People INSPIRED

• Key account Relationships with International Lighting and Show Designers, Rental production houses and Manufacturers, so as to understand and develop relationships towards achieving their trust and business.

• Setting-up and managing value added Distribution for lighting and video manufacturers including VARI*LITE, High End Systems and Green Hippo, whilst building active engagement across these International networks,

• Recruiting and developing Team relations across Creative, Technical and Commercial elements of a Business.

RECENT HIGHLIGHTS

• With ROE Creative Display, bridged the relational gap with Show Designers bringing them closer to the heart of the manufacturer.

• As Lighting Strategy Consultant with 4Wall supported the Directors to define the strategy of the lighting business and progress its offering both in the UK and Europe

• At Green Hippo (Media Servers) transitioned from Head of Sales ROW to a Global Sales and Marketing role, upon the exit of the MD

• VER US and the Founders of Aurora Lighting asked me to lead the set-up of commercial/design and technical operations of their VER European Lighting Hub, servicing International Tours and TV Shows.

What started with stage lighting at school has evolved into a 35 year career; I am very lucky to have enjoyed a rich history in stage lighting, of which I am very proud.  During my years I have been privileged to represent and drive sales strategy for many leading. entertainment lighting brands such as ROE, Vari-Lite, High End Systems, HOG and Green Hippo on the global stage, backstage with crew, FOH with the Designer, at trade shows and in rental company warehouses.

Honoured to start my professional career with VARI*LITE in the late ‘80’s, I played a part in their growth to become market leaders in rock ‘n’ roll, Theatre and TV, as the General Manager with full p&l responsibility to the US Board. With many lasting friendships, I now maintain relationships with

top Global Designers like Mark Cunniffe, Paul Normandale, Andi Watson and lighting operators, crew too.

 

With an entrepreneurial desire I set up Projected Image Digital to provide sales solutions during the

early cutting-edge convergence of lighting and video. In my International roles I have passionately made a difference whilst with manufacturers,

exclusive distributors such as AED and rental service companies such as VER Lighting and 4Wall. I have an empathetic understanding of both sides

of the table, coupled with a deep passion for live events.

Nothing brings me greater joy than collaborating in a relational not transactional way across teams from product development to sales & marketing and particularly technical and creative, so as to be the very best part that we can of a rock ‘n’ roll, Theatre, live event.

I continue to analyse market conditions from a Designers perspective through to that of a rental business and a manufacturer, as the rich history

of rock ‘n’ roll lighting moves forwards fulfilling many generations of lampies.
